Find The Best San Diego Dog Park For Your Pup

When you want to spend some time outdoors with your furry friend, head to a nearby dog park in San Diego. You will find plenty of space to explore the beautiful scenery while your pup enjoys some exercise. The dog parks near our Mission Valley apartments include:

Nate’s Point Dog Park

Found inside Balboa Park, Nate’s Point is one of the most popular dog parks in Diego. Stretching over two acres, it features towering trees, picnic tables, and a water fountain. The park is named after Nate Wells, a former city employee. On his own time, he worked to transform an ugly pile of dirt into a space for dogs and people to enjoy. Nate’s Point is open daily, except Wednesday mornings for maintenance.

Grape Street Dog Park

Also nestled within Balboa Park, Grape Street was made possible by a group of dedicated volunteers. They spent hours transforming the land into one of the city’s finest off-leash spaces. The park spans five acres, offering room for a fun game of Frisbee. Towering Eucalyptus trees provide relief from the heat, with two dog water fountains and benches scattered throughout. Grape Street welcomes visitors to their San Diego dog park daily until 9:00 p.m.

Kearny Mesa Community Dog Park

Smaller in size at just one acre, the Kearny Mesa Community Dog Park still offers a fun place to explore. It boasts water fountains and benches where owners can relax as their pup meets new friends. The park is open daily between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., and lights enhance nighttime play.
