At the Liberty Public Market, you’ll find some of the best chefs, artisans, and culinary purveyors in San Diego. It became the first daily public San Diego market in 2016 and welcomes shoppers between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Here are some of the vendors you’ll discover near our Mission Valley apartments:
Wicked Maine Lobster
When two brothers decided to bring Maine’s best seafood dishes to California, Wicked Maine Lobster was born. Eric and Alex began by selling their tasty food at farmer’s markets. They opened their first brick-and-mortar location inside the Liberty Public Market in 2016, and are a visitor favorite. For dinner, enjoy the Maine lobster roll with a side of fries or white cheddar macaroni and cheese.
At this San Diego market, you’ll find, Bottlecraft. It’s the city’s best craft beer shop, so you’ll find hundreds of hard-to-find beers. It offers a tasting room complete with 24 rotating drafts and 500 bottles from around the world. The friendly bartenders can answer any questions. They’ll also gladly help you find your old favorites while discovering some new ones. Offerings may include Maine Lunch, El Segundo Mayberry IPA, and Thorn Street Barrio Lager.
Minocqua Gourmet Popcorn Company Co.
At Minocqua Gourmet Popcorn Company Co., Jim and Nancy Wescott offers some of the tastiest popcorn around. Better known as Dr. and Mrs. Popcorn, they create the flavors using the finest ingredients, from real butter to high-quality kernels. In addition, each batch is sifted three times to remove any imperfect pieces. Flavors include cheese, gourmet original, and white chocolate pretzel.
Each store’s hours will vary, and this San Diego market also offers a weekday happy hour from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. After visiting Liberty Public Market, explore San Diego’s photography galleries for some amazing works of art.
