If you have ever wanted to know how to make a particular dish, now is a great time. Cooking classes are a great pastime when you are staying home, and there are plenty of fun online cooking classes you can learn while in our Mission Valley apartments in West Park. Here are the virtual cooking classes to get you started.
Mexican Cuisine 101
In the Mexican Cuisine 101 virtual class, you’ll be cooking alongside a top chef. Claudette Zepeda teaches you how to make anything on Zoom. Some dishes you’ll learn to make are carnitas Estilo Michoacan and the pan dulce. You get a shopping list two days before the online classes begin, so you can have everything ready in good time. The classes are recorded, and you can catch up on the lessons you missed.
Alma Fernanda’s virtual cooking class, Cross-border cooking, is every Thursday evening. You’ll learn how to make Italian, Mediterranean, and traditional Mexican seafood. Alma records the virtual cooking class for five days, so you can go back and use the recording for reference in case you need a quick refresher. Classes are in Spanish, so make sure you feel comfortable following along before you sign up. Each session is $25 per class.
Cook as a Group
The person behind Cook as a Group virtual cooking classes is self-taught chef Jodi Abel. The group cooking classes are done on Zoom, and you can choose the 60-minute or 90-minute cooking class. You also have the option to choose two to three dishes of your preference.
After enjoying your online cooking class, stop by a local coffee shop for your afternoon caffeine boost. If you are looking for a great community vibe, check out our Mission Valley apartments, and contact us for a tour.Back to all posts
